This afternoon we walked the wet wild wood and field accompanied by wren and chickadee, titmouse and nuthatch, cardinal, flicker, jay and crow.

Found; snow leaving grass, furry hawkweed leaves, gas well fence, melted snowdrops on last year's hay, snowmelt pooling under old goldenrod and penstemon, and lichen on treebark.
